Siobhan Cribbin first reached out to us because we were local website designers in Preston, and because the website for her solicitors firm had just been taken offline. The previous developers had suddenly stopped providing service and rather than providing notice and a graceful shutdown of services, had decided to just switch things off.
This left Cribbin & Co Solicitors in the lurch, as a continued online presence is reassuring for customers, especially when it comes to a law firm.
Knowing how important this is, we sprang into action right away, replicating the necessary DNS records and transferring the domain to our hosting immediately, so we could get a holding page up and running. This, at least, would prevent any impression that Cribbin & Co had dropped off the face of the earth. On the same day Siobhan reached out to us, we had a holding page live that showed users how to contact their various offices.
This allowed us more time to sit down with the Cribbin & Co Solicitiors team and work out what they needed from a new website.
In the process, we identified that a personable local solicitors could benefit from high-quality, bespoke photography of their key staff and premises, and introduced our good friend Christina Davies of Fish2 Photography to make it happen.
(Incidentally, Christina did our most recent headshots – Larry and Michael both agree that it takes a talented photographer to make us look good.)
We started with our usual Information Architecture and Wireframing processes to identify the high-level content and layouts, before evolving these into high-fidelity designs using the recently updated branding for Solicitors.
Cribbin Solicitors provide a disarmingly personable and refreshingly unusual service that most people don’t expect from solicitors these days – this approach is right up our street, and we were keen to ensure the feel you get from speaking to Siobhan and the team was reflected on the website.
Once our designs were signed off, we could get building. The site contains a range of innovative features – some you may come to expect, and others that we think make the site easier to use:
Responsive Design
A modern, fully responsive website design that reflects Cribbin Solicitors branding, ensuring an optimal viewing experience across all devices.
Staff Biographies
From each qualified member of staff to Gunner (the delightful office dog) our extensible team system allows users to get to know the team before they meet.
Office pages
Offices can also be added easily as the firm expands, with the header dynamically updating to show the relevant phone number when browsing a specific location.
Testimonials
Integration of client testimonials as a dynamic content piece that can be called across service pages and office location pages.
Service pages
Featuring relevant testimonials, appropriate FAQs and imagery to help users understand the offering, each service page contains helpful information and clear calls to action.
Smart contact options
The site knows whether the user is browsing with a specific location intent, or a generic one, and adapts the contact options accordingly.
Ultimately, working with Siobhan and the Cribbin & Co team was a lovely experience, and we’re glad they’re happy with the results. If you need legal services in Lancashire (especially wills and estate planning), you should definitely give them a call.
